What effect do steroids have on brain tissue?

Steroids appear not to have any direct effect on brain tissue
(as, for example, alcohol does). There is some evidence that
anabolics act on the mind to produce mood swings, euphoria,
violence, guilt feelings or a temporary change in the
personality.(1,2) This will be covered under the
section entitled, " Effects of Steroids on the Mind."
