Real success is certainly not being given everything on a silver plate or being in a position of privilege from the start; yes you may be materially successful with untold riches but there has been little or no life challenge or drive requirement to give your all, whilst taking calculated risks to enable those once distant personal aspirations to come ever nearer.

• Rather it is persons who have risen above setbacks and seemingly impenetrable barriers to realize their dreams

• Fighting relentlessly for their convictions and ambitions

• That is the unquenchable champion spirit, which secretly, we all admire.

SMART SHOWMUSCLE IS CREATING A STATE OF BODYBUILDING HARMONY.

You may have to train to the point of sheer torture, but there comes a time, when in balance and for the sake of vital harmony

• You must REST & RECUPERATE for no matter what state of individual development, that is the ONLY time you CAN grow.

• Indeed, there have been thousands of instances, that by just resting and cutting back workout duration, the bodybuilder has entered a growth-spurt phase as never previously experienced.

Recuperation has for long now, been the resented 'almost deliberately forgotten' part of bodybuilding by many trainers.

• Just to prevent a 'plateau' period of 'stale-workouts' when little or no growth takes place and even muscle-loss occurs

• This is usually due to central and peripheral nervous system exhaustion trauma and NOT pure muscle exhaustion.

TAKING A LAYOFF OF A WEEK EVERY 6-10 WEEKS (AGAIN THE FREQUENCY DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUAL BODYBUILDER) WILL ENCOURAGE FASTER GROWTH

• Most of the poundage crazy brigade will consider this non-macho and only for wimps

• But YOU just try it and see the enormous benefits that accrue

• Simply because the body and mind are allowed to 'recharge their batteries.'

• At one time (as has been pointed out previously) this was considered a total violation of the muscle creed, e.g. workout to 'kill and go on killing regardless!'

Anything else was being a pussy-wimp! Any bodybuilder worthy of that name was virtually 'forbidden' to take such liberty.

Musclesmart bodybuilders now appreciate that working-out regardless for month after month, year after year without a lay-off is totally nonsensical.

• Indeed you are asking for touble and if this includes you, this has either happened, or unless you are extraordinary fortunate as regards genetic make up' IT WILL!

• Your body is a finely tuned miraculous creation, with awesome potential to create a breathtaking muscle sculpture, but as with all things, harmony MUST come into the equation. In this case REST.

• Okay, you may lose a few ounces of muscle and your poundage will go down minimally for the first two return workouts.

• In many cases, and certainly more than you would ever believe possible

• Through taking this step as another phase of your bodybuilding, YOU will find that YOU GROW FASTER THAN YOU DID PREVIOUSLY.

• Thereafter anyway, you will come back to 'par' and muscle-fast trak in an unbelievable way.

• Your mind and body will simply be repaying you for that 'kind and thoughtful' vacation.

• It will be empowered to produce more muscle, faster and of greater quality than previously.

• Your poundage will take off and YOU will be more confident because you will literally be able to feel the incredible power bursting from within.

• With that winning champion attitude channeled into your workouts, that muscle will be frying after the first few mind-muscle reps.

Now, we come to all the differing programs that are promoted as the ONLY way to train to enable YOU to realize your full muscular potential. Some but not all of these, are certainly provided by top champion bodybuilders, who themselves, may be simply bursting with steel-muscle almost exploding and splitting their thin skin whilst exuding champion confidence.

• They have built that awesome physique so they surely must know! But who's right? Can they all be right? Are they perhaps all wrong?

• The answer is: they (and that certainly includes the writer) may be both all right and all wrong at the same time.

• The one and ONLY person who can determine which and indeed what works 100% for you is - you guessed it! YOU.

If you think about it, there are hundreds if not thousands of top bodybuilders and others offering courses and ways to make you BIG through their 'secret' program alone.

• You train (they say) in any other way at your peril!

• And yet, when you analyse each individual one against another equally successful bodybuilder they may be totally different

• Or certainly differ in fundamental ways, and yet the bodybuilders themselves have succeeded.

• How can this be? What is exactly going on!

• Simply, that each bodybuilder has discovered -usually through trial and error

• THE IDEAL GROWTH PACKAGE FOR THEIR PERSONAL MAKE-UP.

• This is why it doesn't matter a jot whether the person offering the program is big or small

• If they were truly for YOU, they would not say that any one program is good for everybody.

• For NO one program is good for any bodybuilder alive without constantly changing the fundamental aspects of it.

WHETHER IT IS HIGH REPS AGAINST LOW REPS, OR HIGH SETS AGAINST LOW SETS, OR HEAVY WEIGHTS AGAINST MEDIUM WEIGHT, OR EVEN LIGHT WEIGHT.

• Or perhaps, insisting on certain essential exercises

• Or perhaps dumbbells against barbells

• Or machines against free-weights

• Or possibly that exercise which for a specific bodypart is THE ONLY guaranteed growth exercise worth doing.

• And yet for all this, each of these experienced, equally super-developed bodybuilder-promoters, or indeed other proponents of their particular program, may be telling you something totally different.

• Something surely doesn't ring true?

The real problem is YOU and indeed every bodybuilder of every standard throughout history. For everyone is unique and this is where the real problem occurs.

• The ideal solution to guarantee total development therefore is to alter your program regularly

• So that firstly your muscle does NOT have any opportunity to adapt

• For it will do this remarkably quickly

• And when it does, there is NO GROWTH

• THE BRAIN INFORMS THE BODY THERE IS NO NEED FOR NEW GROWTH

• When that happens you WON'T GROW

• THAT IS WHEN TOTAL TRICKERY IS REQUIRED.

• YOU at different times (of course) MUST undertake every type of training imaginable for each bodypart.

• ALWAYS PROVIDING you utilize BRAIN (MINDSET) with MUSCLE and

• MIND-MUSCLE-SEE-FEEL-SQUEEZE-TENSION-FOCUS

• Plus also ensure, that the rest of your growth package is right for YOU.

• Then you WILL & MUST progress.

• Also, the only time you really cheat is when perfect reps are impossible to execute.

• Therefore, cheating is only there to make a set more difficult, never easier (excluding programs which require more of a pure powerlifting attack.

SOME TYPES OF TRAINING WILL ENABLE YOU TO FORGE FAST-TRAK, OTHERS PERHAPS MORE SLOWLY. But just because you are not making visible progress, it doesn't mean this other training is all in vain.

• Virtually ANY program if you give your all and mind-muscle focus will provide some benefit, directly or indirectly.

• Bodybuilding and particularly raw, pure showmuscle is a learning curve.

• Some of your own fiber-types (wherever they may be located within the construction of your body ONLY)

Require more reps, others less reps, and similarly with your sets - you must vary and experiment.

• It is also vital that you develop a sound vascular, neuromuscular and metabolic pathway system along with strong capillary flow.

• Then, when you progress to the really torturous workouts and 'heavier poundage (but still always within your individual capability and never just for pure ego sake)

• Everything then will already be in place to provide essential nutritional and other support to your growing muscle-stud-dom.

AS GENERALLY IN LIFE, IT'S NOT SO MUCH WHAT YOU DO AS TO HOW WELL YOU DO IT. IF YOU TRAIN IN PERFECT STYLE AND GIVE 100% LASER-DEVOTION

• To every perfect rep, and then if necessary,

• In a gradually more relaxed way to work that muscle in various ways until it is unable to even twitch, you are on the road to real growth.

• If you do your homework (yes, there is a great deal of homework outside the gym by way of physical and mental rehearsal in showmuscle if you want the very best end-results)

• And you really must consistently practice and rehearse every part of your muscle career so that you find your own success groove in every facet of your showmuscle.

• That goal - YOUR GOAL - which may perhaps at the start appear to be barely possible and years away

• WILL though almost imperceptibly at first, really start happening, and then moving forward ever more quickly

• YOU will start to believe the probability, and before you know it, this will turn into reality.

• DEVELOP EQUAL PASSION TO SUCCEED IN OTHER INTERESTS OF YOUR LIFE: school, further education, career, community, politics, other sport and interests and everything to make you an all-rounded individual.

• Also consider providing a willing hand for perhaps those less fortunate than yourselves and give your free time to assist others in reaching their goals and lots more.
